Nestled in the heart of Miramar, Maxi Arepa offers a vibrant taste of Venezuelan cuisine that feels both authentic and inviting. This fast-casual Latin American restaurant specializes in mouthwatering arepas and traditional dishes that immediately transport you to the streets of Venezuela. From the first bite, the combination of freshly grilled meats and rich, handmade cornmeal breads awakens your senses with bold flavors and tantalizing aromas.
The menu is a treasure trove of Venezuelan comfort food delights. Signature dishes such as the Patacon De Carne Asada shine with tender, smoky grilled steak layered between crispy fried plantain patties, delivering a wonderful mix of textures and savory satisfaction. For cheese lovers, the Cachapa De Queso — a sweet corn pancake melted with gooey cheese — offers a perfect balance of sweet and salty, rich enough to satisfy any craving.
Maxi Arepa’s Pepito De Lomo and Steak Pepito sandwiches capture the essence of Venezuelan street food with juicy, seasoned beef paired with fresh toppings on soft rolls. If you prefer a more traditional arepa, the Reina Pepiada — a creamy avocado and chicken salad filling — is a crowd favorite, delivering a refreshing and luscious bite. Vegetarians are also thoughtfully considered with options like the Arepa Queso Guayanes and Arepa Tres Quesos, which highlight the delightful variety of Venezuelan cheeses.
The dining atmosphere at Maxi Arepa is warm and convivial, making it a perfect spot for families and friends. One standout feature is the televisions installed in the booths, keeping children entertained while the adults savor their meals, a detail that customers have especially appreciated. The staff is consistently praised for their attentiveness and friendly service, adding to the overall welcoming vibe of the restaurant. Cleanliness and comfort are evidently priorities here, with well-maintained facilities that are often uncommon in fast-food settings.
For those inclined toward indulgence, the dessert menu is rich with Venezuelan classics such as Tres Leches and the sweetly satisfying Golfeado con Queso, a Venezuelan-style sticky bun topped with cheese. To wash it all down, try their signature chicha beverages, like Chicha Con Oreo or the classic Chicha Familiar Especial, which are creamy, refreshing, and uniquely comforting.
Though a few patrons have mentioned minor inconsistencies—such as slightly browned avocado in the Reina Pepiada or smaller empanadas compared to the hefty portions of their arepas and patacones—these are easily overshadowed by the overall quality, generous serving sizes, and exceptional value Maxi Arepa provides.
If you are craving a genuine Venezuelan dining experience that delivers bold flavors, generous portions, and an inviting atmosphere, Maxi Arepa is a must-visit in Miramar. Whether dining in or grabbing takeout, their vibrant menu paired with warm hospitality will leave you feeling satisfied and eager to return.
One of the best Arepas I’ve ever had. Some vegetarian options are available.
Very Venezuelan place. Me and my husband always come back to order takeout—the food is really good, especially for the price range they have. We always get super full with our food, so we don’t order dessert that often, but I’ve had the chance to try some of them before, and the flavor always reminds me of Venezuela. The management and servers are always really nice and attentive—nothing to complain about.
Food was delicious, the service was amazing and I also like how they have television in the booths it makes it entraitaining and kept the kids busy. Will recommend has a welcoming environment. The bathroom was also clean and stocked up on everything which is rare for restaurants. Eitherway 5/5 will recommend
The food was so yummy and it felt like home! The staff were super nice and recommended their favorites! Arepa, patacones, cachapas gracias!!!!!
The food was good, the portions were huge in case you're hungry, I ordered a Reina Pepiada and the avocado was a bit brownish, as shown in the picture, but taste was ok. Empanadas were good but tiny for the price, especially with the Arepas and Patacones being that generous. Service wasn't so friendly though. @soIsayIcancook @Aventure.dos
I was so pleased with this restaurant. No wonder it has such good ratings and reviews. Their reputation is well deserved. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Place looks very clean. Food is amazing. Literally almost same flavors than in Venezuela. I tried the patacones with green plantains. A must try. Plantain was fresh fried. Chicken and beef super flavorful. Sauces incredibly tasty. Had the good luck to try the chicha drink. It was amazing and fresh, perfect combination of the drink and ice. So good. If you are looking for new flavors to experience this is your place for Venezuelan food. Highly recommended. Great job guys!
Was not disappointed with the food here. If your looking for authentic Venezuelan fast food this is the place. Instead of table service it’s more like a counter service restaurant where you order at the counter and seat yourself once the food is ready. The service was great and there’s Venezuelan snacks you can buy after your meal.
